Update from the FE...
The final descent of the Verderers Trail and the advanced skills area are both now open! 🚴♀️🎉
Forestry England has invested around £80,000 in these upgrades and after several months of hard work, we are very pleased that both trails have been re-opened for you to enjoy.
Around 65,000 riders used the Verderers Trail in 2019 and with the growing popularity of mountain biking, this figure is set to rise. This popularity shows how vital these upgrades are in future-proofing the trails and ensuring they can continue to be enjoyed for years to come.
A big thank you goes to our visitors and members, as income generated from car parking and membership helps make these kinds of investments possible. 👏 👍
The trail surfaces have been completely rebuilt and re-shaped and so will be unfamiliar even to regular visitors. Please take care when riding the new sections for the first time.
Thanks to Back on Track Mountain Bike Solutions for all their work along with additional support from the Dean Trail Volunteers.
A reminder to all cyclists, the illegal, wild trails between Brierley and The Pludds are closed, anyone seen using them will be reported to the police
