Changes to parking 🅿️

Updated: Jan 17

You may have seen that FE have been making a few changes to their car park recently. Last month widening the overflow car park which has created more spaces, and more recently relocated the staff parking bays (please pay attention to the signage!).

This week, starting work to introduce an Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system. The car park will remain open, but there may be some disruption whilst work takes place.

From a visitor point of view, there won’t be much difference. You’ll still need to pay to park on arrival as usual. Eventually they will replace the cash operated payment machine in the overflow car park, and move to a fully cashless system. Please come prepared to pay with card or via the RingGo app.

If you are a member, you will need to make sure that you have given your most up to date vehicles registrations. You will receive an email about this shortly, so please do double check your details.

If you’re not a member but you visit regularly, a membership could save you money. A Forest of Dean membership costs just £42 for a year, which works out at around 81p a week.

All of the money made from car parking fees and memberships gets re-invested back into the trails. FE can only continue to improve our trails and build new ones because of you, so thank you.
