Forestry Operations Barnhill Wild Trails

🚨Hi all some information after a meeting today with FE to be aware of. FE have asked I share :

#Barnhill & Birchill forestry operations 🚨

Upcoming forestry operations, due to start next week at #Barnhill. This is a thinning contract in line with the Forest Plan for the area. The work will continue over the next few months and throughout the summer, with the machines switching between the Barnhill and the Birchill areas to work around various constraints, including Schedule 1 nesting birds.

There are numerous mountain bike trails in this working area, which will need to be removed before the harvester and forwarder can safely work. Another important thing to note is that there will be an element of roadside working which will require a mix of traffic lights and a short road closure,
