Storm Austen > Closed 23rd October

Weather update:

With strong winds on the way from Storm Austen, our car park and visitor facilities will be closed for safety on Friday 23 October. We will carry out safety inspections as soon as it’s safe for our teams to be on site on Saturday morning, which means we will be opening late on 24 October. We won’t be able to confirm an exact time until we have made our inspections, so please check our website and social channels before travelling.

As the forest’s trees are still very stressed by the long, hot summer, and the ground remains extremely dry, this first storm of the autumn could bring more risk of falling trees and debris than usual. Consider postponing any trips to the forest until the wind drops and don’t approach leaning or fallen trees. Stay safe!
