FoD Pocket Trails 1.4: closure alerts are here
Ever driven to the Forest, unloaded the bike, and then found out the trails were shut?
Pocket Trails 1.4 is out now on the App Store, and it fixes exactly that.
Closure & storm alerts
Switch them on from the Today screen and your phone tells you when trails or the Cycle Centre close, or there's a storm warning – as soon as we send it. With an Apple Watch, it'll tap you on the wrist too.
The latest closure stays at the top of the app
Swiped the notification away? The latest closure shows at the top of Today and Right Now until midnight.
Board alerts
The Forestry works board and the lost property board can alert you as well – handy when harvesting moves a diversion, or someone hands in the glove you dropped. One switch each.
Shortcuts
Press and hold the Pocket Trails icon for SOS, the map and watch mode.
Your privacy
Alerts are off unless you switch them on. Switching one on stores your phone's notification token so the alert can reach you – no account, no name. Switch them all off and it's deleted. Everything else stays on your phone, as it always has.

It's still free, still works with no signal, and still has no adverts.
